A leading FE College is looking for a dedicated Lecturer in Plumbing to join their dynamic Plumbing and Electrical Department. About the Role
As a Lecturer in Plumbing, you’ll deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons to students from Entry Level to Level 3. You’ll play a key role in preparing learners for successful careers in the plumbing and heating industry, including pathways into gas engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons and schemes of work.
- Develop learner-centred assessments with constructive feedback.
- Monitor and report on student attendance, progress, and achievements.
- Promote and maintain a safe learning environment, ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Provide pastoral support and coaching to help students achieve their goals.
- Stay up to date with industry trends to ensure course content remains relevant.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll either:
- Hold a teaching qualification and have experience teaching in Further or Higher Education, or
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing (or related subject) and be willing to undertake a teaching qualification through our Passport to Teaching programme.
Additionally, you should have:
- Recent experience teaching Plumbing (including Plumbing & Heating and Gas pathways).
- Strong administrative skills to track student progress and outcomes.
- A genuine passion for education and student success.

- Satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure
- Awareness, understanding, and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young vulnerable adults
