Refrigeration/HVAC Lecturer – Temporary Opportunity
35.5 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 8:30am-5pm, Fri 8:30am-4pm – 1 hr flexi across the week)
Further Education College Hub based in Hull
£28-35 Per Hour
Responsibilities:
- Deliver practical and theory programmes of learning to Refrigeration & Air Conditioning apprentices including; Health & safety in the industry, the fundamental principles & applications in RACHP, the functions of RACHP systems and components, the service and maintenance of equipment, understanding the electrical systems, commissioning and fault finding RACHP systems.
- Incorporate new technologies into delivery methods, ensuring engaging and inclusive learning experiences with the support of our Lead Practitioners.
- Integrate Maths & English into teaching.
- Manage student morale and discipline, working closely with college managers and the team.
- Record and report data accurately, including eILPs, e-registers, assessments, and student progress records..
We are looking for:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in Refrigeration & HVAC Engineering.
- Qualified F-Gas engineer.
- Teaching or Assessing qualifications, or relevant experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and equal opportunities policies.
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
