Protocol are working in partnership with an established college based in Wigan to recruit an inspiring and dedicated Science Lecturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking institution that values high-quality teaching and student success.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to deliver engaging Science lessons across a range of levels. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a combination, your passion for the subject and ability to motivate learners will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across a variety of levels (GCSE, BTEC, A-Level, or Access courses depending on experience).
- Support student progress through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and curiosity.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent – or willingness to work towards one).
- A degree or strong subject knowledge in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
- Experience teaching Science in a college, sixth form, or school environment.
- A student-focused approach with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of learners.
- Strong organisational skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
