Mechanical Engineering Lecturer

Hours: 23 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
£30-£35 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join an FE College based in Wolverhampton to deliver high-quality theory and practical teaching to Level 2 and Level 3 students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, specifically in CNC machining, milling, and turning, with a passion for teaching and supporting students in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and informative theory and practical lessons on Mechanical Engineering topics, including CNC, milling, and turning.
- Prepare and plan teaching materials and resources in advance, ensuring a high standard of delivery.
- Support and guide students, providing feedback and assessment where necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices in the mechanical engineering field.
- Ensure a safe and effective learning environment, both in the classroom and in practical workshop settings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience teaching Mechanical Engineering at Level 2 and Level 3, ideally within further education.
- Strong practical knowledge and experience of CNC machining, milling, and turning.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (e.g., Degree, HND, or equivalent).
- A passion for teaching and student development, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage classroom and workshop environments effectively.
