GCSE English Language Tutor (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)

Protocol are working with a Further Education college based in Cheadle who are seeking a dedicated GCSE English Language Tutor to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis until the end of the academic year (13th June). This role involves 15 hours per week across Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM each day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maternity cover for 4 GCSE English Language sessions (1.25 hours each, totalling 5 hours per week) at Cheadle.

• Study support sessions (8 small group intervention sessions, totalling 10 hours per week), guiding students in using the Century Tech platform to enhance their English skills in preparation for their GCSE exams.

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of students at various ability levels.

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high-quality education and a supportive learning environment.

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and attainment in line with college policies.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 12 weeks (until the end of the GCSE exams).

• Total Hours: 15 hours per week.

• Days: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
