Job Title: Carpentry Lecturer
Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire-based College
Job Type: Part-Time (Tues, Weds, Thurs), Temporary (4 weeks)
Salary: £28 – £30 per hour
Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Carpentry Lecturer to teach Level 1 Carpentry. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, assessing student progress, and providing support to ensure all learners achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality carpentry lessons to Level 1 students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in Carpentry (minimum Level 3 or equivalent).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience in teaching or training within the carpentry or construction industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
