Job Title: Learning Support Mentor
Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire-based College
Job Type: Temporary ongoing (Until Jue 2025)
Salary: £12 Per hour + Statutory Holiday Pay
Hours:
- Monday 9.15 – 16.15 with an hour lunch break
- Wednesday 10.15 – 15.15 with an hour lunch break
- Thursday 10.15 – 16.15 with an hour lunch break
Job Description
Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs
- Work closely with teachers to ensure learning objectives are met
- Help students with classroom activities and assignments
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with young adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
Experience:
- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Mental Health First Aid training
- SEN Qualifications
