Job Title: Travel and Tourism Lecturer
Location: Cambridge-based College
Salary: £20 – £25 per hour (Inclusive of Statutory Holiday Pay)
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing (Could potentially be permanent for the right candidate)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Lecturer in Travel and Tourism to join a Cambridge-based FE College. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and dynamic teaching across pathways from Levels 1 to 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspirational teaching and learning sessions
- Undertake necessary administrative tasks for effective programme operation.
- Carry out moderation, assessment, and verification in line with college and awarding body standards.
- Act as a course tutor and personal tutor, supporting learners in achieving their targets.
- Track and review student progress, maintaining records using ProMonitor and other internal systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members and participate in course team reviews and evaluations.
- Adhere to college policies, including those related to health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, and data protection.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Right To Work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS check on the updated Service
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications or industry experience.
- Full teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLS).
- An Assessors Qualification
- Experience teaching and assessing in the Travel and Tourism sector.
- Proven ability to plan and develop activities and residentials.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
