HE Animal Welfare Science Lecturer
South Yorkshire/Scunthorpe
Full-time hours – 35 hours per week
Temporary on-going based on long term sick
£30-£33 per hour
The role – The post holder will assume responsibility for teaching and the provision of personal academic support to students on our FdSc Animal Welfare Science/BSc Applied Animal Welfare Science programmes validated through the University.
All staff are required to participate fully in the appropriate university subject-based committees and examination boards, liaise with external examiners and implement the quality assurance and enhancement processes effectively.
The role will require passion for seeking out opportunities to strengthen existing provision and will involve working collaboratively across university campuses to develop innovative and creative approaches towards learning and teaching and new opportunities.
The person – We are therefore seeking individuals that are passionate about Animal Welfare Science and that have relevant experience in both educational and industry fields. The individual will also have experience working with students either in a university/college or an educational setting whilst being upbeat, motivational and knowledgeable in the subject area in order to educate and inspire learners.
Have you got what it takes?

Degree in Animal Welfare Science related topic (desirable).
- Teaching Qualification (desirable).

Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.

Experience of or ability to demonstrate understanding of teaching and supporting undergraduate students.

Sound relevant subject knowledge located in either/both theory and practice.
- DBS on the update service.
