Job Description:
Protocol are working with a Further Education College based in Romford who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trainer Coach – Electrical to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coaching apprentices and trainees, ensuring they meet apprenticeship standards and achieve timely completion of their programs. This role involves providing continuous support, feedback, and monitoring progress to help apprentices and trainees succeed.
Key Responsibilities:

Coaching and Training:
- Coach apprentices and trainees in line with apprenticeship standards, core skills, and work-related training.
- Offer support and guidance from the start of the program to ensure timely achievement.

Feedback and Progress Reviews:
- Provide regular and up-to-date feedback to apprentices and trainees on their progress.
- Complete progress reviews at least every 12 weeks.

Tracking and Compliance:
- Maintain appropriate tracking systems and procedures related to quality, compliance, management, and assessment.

Monitoring and Assessment:
- Regularly monitor progress towards meeting Gateway requirements.
- Integrate mock and simulated End-Point Assessments (EPA) into delivery and planning.

Workplace Support:
- Visit and actively support apprentices and trainees within the workplace.
- Support their progress against the knowledge, skills, and behaviours requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Assessors’ qualification in Electrical Level 3.
- Proven experience in coaching and training apprentices and trainees.
- Strong ability to provide constructive feedback and conduct progress reviews.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain tracking systems and ensure compliance.
- Ability to monitor and assess progress effectively.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
- Experience working in an educational establishment.
