Job Title: Bricklaying Lecturer

Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire-based College

Job type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £28,385 – £41,782 per annum

This teaching role and course is eligible for levelling up premium payments you could qualify to receive an extra payment of up to £6,000 per year, after tax. This payment is separate from teachers’ pay.

You can claim your payment if you are in your first 5 years of teaching in FE, teach at least 2.5 hours per week and meet the full eligibility criteria.

Eligible FE teachers can claim a levelling up premium payment for teaching specific courses in the following subject areas:

• building and construction
• chemistry
• computing, including digital and ICT
• early years
• engineering and manufacturing, including transport engineering and electronics
• maths
• physics

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching across practical and theoretical sessions.
• Support and mentor students, helping them to achieve their career goals.
• Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring courses remain engaging and industry-relevant.
• Work closely with industry professionals to maintain high standards and up-to-date teaching methods.

Qualifications:

• Industry experience in Bricklaying/Construction.
• A Level 3 vocational qualification in Bricklaying.
• A passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation of tradespeople.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A Teaching Qualification (Desirable)
• An Assessor’s Award (Desirable)
• A Verfier’s Award (Desirable)
