Job Title: Bricklaying Lecturer
Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire-based College
Job type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £28,385 – £41,782 per annum

This teaching role and course is eligible for levelling up premium payments you could qualify to receive an extra payment of up to £6,000 per year, after tax. This payment is separate from teachers’ pay.
You can claim your payment if you are in your first 5 years of teaching in FE, teach at least 2.5 hours per week and meet the full eligibility criteria.

Eligible FE teachers can claim a levelling up premium payment for teaching specific courses in the following subject areas:
- building and construction
- chemistry
- computing, including digital and ICT
- early years
- engineering and manufacturing, including transport engineering and electronics
- maths
- physics
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across practical and theoretical sessions.
- Support and mentor students, helping them to achieve their career goals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring courses remain engaging and industry-relevant.
- Work closely with industry professionals to maintain high standards and up-to-date teaching methods.
Qualifications:
- Industry experience in Bricklaying/Construction.
- A Level 3 vocational qualification in Bricklaying.
- A passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation of tradespeople.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Teaching Qualification (Desirable)
- An Assessor’s Award (Desirable)
- A Verfier’s Award (Desirable)
