SEND Tutor – Make a Real Difference, Starting Now!
Location: Primarily Hillsborough Campus, Sheffield (with occasional days at Peaks)
Contract: Immediate Start – Until 7th July (Potential to Extend/Permanent Roles Over Summer)
Hours: Full-time
Salary: £23-£28 per hour – reflective of Experience and SEN Expertise.
Protocol are working closely with a highly respected specialist further education provision supporting learners aged 16–25 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced SEND Tutor to join their dedicated team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with additional needs.
This is a full-time position to cover a long-term sickness absence, with a contract running until early July and strong potential for extension or permanent opportunities over the summer.
The Role:
As a SEND Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, accessible, and learner-centred sessions to young adults within a supportive and inclusive environment. You’ll be working with small groups, adapting your teaching style to meet individual needs and helping learners grow in confidence, independence, and skills for life and work.
What We’re Looking For:

A qualified teacher (QTLS/QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEN and/or supported learning

Someone who can start immediately and commit to the full duration of the contract

A tutor who thrives in a person-centred environment and brings empathy, creativity, and structure to the classroom

Experience with The King’s Trust English programme would be advantageous but not essential.
- Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
