The Role:
We are looking for a passionate Joinery Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programmes, including full-time and apprenticeship pathways. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tradesperson or qualified teacher to share their skills and develop the next generation of industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Joinery up to Level 3.

Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials.

Support learners to achieve their qualifications through excellent teaching, assessment, and feedback.

Contribute to curriculum development to ensure content remains current and industry-relevant.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.

Participate in internal quality assurance processes and standardisation meetings.

Promote high standards of health and safety in all practical activities.
Essential Requirements:

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Joinery or a closely related trade.

A recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, or willingness to work towards one).

Recent and relevant industry experience in carpentry and joinery.

Strong understanding of curriculum and qualification frameworks.

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
Desirable:
-
Assessor qualification (e.g. A1, TAQA).

Experience of delivering T-Levels or apprenticeship training.

An understanding of embedding English and maths in vocational learning.
