This FE College is looking for an experienced Careers Advisor.

Position: CEIAG Careers Advisor
Hours: 37 hours per week, over 40 working weeks (0.86 FTE)
Location: Northampton
Salary: Band 7 £21,096.00 to £23,020.00 per annum (pro rata to the full time equivalent of £24,378.00 – £26,601.00 per annum)

About the Role:

An experienced CEIAG Careers Advisor is sought to work closely with the Careers Lead to deliver an outstanding student experience within the framework of the Gatsby benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them identify their strengths, interests, and goals.
  • Contribute to the planning, organizing, and delivery of the careers provision.
  • Host and deliver careers masterclasses to students in conjunction with the Careers Lead.
  • Offer advice and guidance to potential new students at open events, transition events, and on-demand as needed.
  • Support the creation, implementation, and delivery of the organization’s careers strategy, ensuring compliance with the Gatsby Benchmarks.
  • Maintain a student-centered, high-quality service with exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver bespoke employability workshops, including mock interviews, with the support of the CEIAG Support Officer.
  • Liaise with Personal Development Tutors during the UCAS process and keep up to date with developments in higher education.
  • Promote and adhere to the organization’s Safeguarding and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Actively promote best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CEIAG Careers Advisor.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, student-focused services.
