Skills Coach – Adult Social Care
Location: Hull
Salary: £18,493.18 per annum
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Protocol Group, working in partnership with a leading Further Education college in Hull, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Skills Coach – Adult Social Care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with leadership experience in adult care to guide and support learners in achieving their career aspirations.

The Role
The Skills Coach will play a crucial role in training, assessing, and mentoring learners in adult social care, ensuring they acquire the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for their qualifications. The position involves working closely with employers to align learning with industry needs and delivering high-quality support to apprentices throughout their training.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing training, assessment, and mentoring to learners in adult social care.
- Collaborating with employers to develop learning programmes that meet workforce demands.
- Supporting learners in achieving functional skills where required.
- Monitoring learner progress and providing guidance to ensure successful outcomes.
- Embedding enrichment activities and career guidance into the learning experience.
- Representing the college at employer engagement events and promotional activities.
- Promoting an inclusive learning environment while ensuring safeguarding and learner well-being.
Candidate Requirements
- A Level 5 Leadership in Adult Care qualification.
- Experience in assessing, mentoring, or coaching within vocational education, ideally in adult social care.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices in social care.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage learners and employers effectively.
- IT proficiency and a commitment to integrating digital learning tools.
