Job Title: Lecturer – Multi-Skills
Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire-based College
Job type: Temporary ongoing (Sick cover)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30-17.00
Salary: £30 – £35 per hour (Inclusive of holiday pay)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspirational teaching across all levels with an emphasis on property maintenance, plastering and roofing etc.
- Act as a course tutor, tracking and reviewing student progress.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in the Construction industry (Bricklaying qualifications desirable).
- GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Certificate in Education/PGCE/DTLLS/DET.
- Assessor qualifications (A1 or equivalent) and Internal Verification qualification (V1 or equivalent).
Experience:
- Substantial, recent, and relevant industrial experience in Bricklaying or Construction Maintenance.
- Recent lecturing, instructing, or training experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate learners of all ages and abilities.
- High levels of IT skills for creating teaching resources.
Special Conditions:
- Right to work in the UK is required
- A current Enhanced DBS disclosure check is required.
