Hours: Full-Time (37 hours)
Salary: £39.22 per hour inclusive of holiday pay

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in Carpentry & Joinery to ensure learners achieve their full potential.

  • Contribute towards a high-quality pre-entry and initial assessment process to ensure that learners’ needs are met.

  • Provide high-quality pastoral and supportive care for students throughout their learner journey.

  • Offer effective guidance to students to support their progression into higher learning or employment.

  • Oversee the needs and progress of all students with an EHCP or ALS need enrolled on relevant courses/programmes.

  • Work effectively within teams to develop, review, and maintain study programmes, ensuring the sharing of good practice.

  • Ensure quality files and course/programme team information on platforms such as SharePoint are maintained to support teamwork and reduce workload.

  • Ensure schemes of learning and lesson planning align with college policies and best practices.

  • Celebrate and promote staff and student success within the college, fostering a culture of excellence and recognition.

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 5 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery or a related field.

  • A recognised Teaching Qualification.

  • Experience working in the Carpentry & Joinery sector.

  • Experience Lecturing at FE level.
