Job Title: GCSE English / Functional Skills English Lecturer
Location: South Shields, Northumberland 
Job Type: Temporary Ongoing
Salary: £25 per hour (Inclusive of holiday pay)
Hours: 35 hours per week (24 teaching hours)

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons for GCSE English and Functional Skills English courses, helping students unlock their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic lessons for GCSE and Functional Skills English courses.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that enables all students to reach their academic goals.
  • Design and implement a flexible curriculum tailored to meet diverse student needs.
  • Inspire and motivate students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous professional development and excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure high standards of education and student success.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A relevant degree and a recognized teaching qualification (minimum Level 5).
  • Previous experience in the Further Education sector is desirable, but not essential.
  • A commitment to inclusion, a passion for student success, and a high level of professional integrity.
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
