Job Title: Learning Support Mentor

Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire-based College

Job Type: Temporary ongoing (Until Jue 2025)

Salary: £12 Per hour + Statutory Holiday Pay

Hours:

• Monday 9.15 – 16.15 with an hour lunch break
• Wednesday 10.15 – 15.15 with an hour lunch break
• Thursday 10.15 – 16.15 with an hour lunch break

Job Description

Job Duties:

• Provide support to students with special educational needs
• Work closely with teachers to ensure learning objectives are met
• Help students with classroom activities and assignments

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
• Previous experience working with young adults
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

Experience:

• Experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Aid certification
• Mental Health First Aid training
• SEN Qualifications
