BSL Interpreter
South Yorkshire-based College
Temporary until the end of the academic year working Wednesday 08:30-5pm.
£15-£18 per hour.
The role.
You will be working within the college department to provide BSL interpretation in classes and around the College as required by the student. You will also contribute to a program of activities and support designed to: remove barriers to learning, assist students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, encourage active participation in learning and support retention and achievement.
The person;
We are therefore seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting students 1:1 and within a group setting and who have a specialism with BSL. The individual will also have experience working with students or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting whilst being upbeat, motivational and knowledgeable in the subject area to educate and inspire learners.
Have you got what it takes?
- A level 3 BSL qualification.
- Have experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within a group setting.
- Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
