Job Title: Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Lecturer

Location: East Midlands, North Nottinghamshire-based College

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £29,515 – £37,401 Per annum

Job Duties:

  • To prepare, deliver and carry out teaching and learning with the necessary assessment of students including on-site assessment where appropriate.
  • Develop curriculum materials and assessments in line with industry standards
  • Provide guidance and support to students to enhance their learning experience
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the field
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Education, PGCE or equivalent or the ability and willingness to obtain a Level 4 professional teaching qualification within two years of commencing employment.
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Fire, Emergency and Security Systems or a related subject area
  • Internal Verification qualification (A1,TAQA,CAVA)

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • The ability to teach and manage learning on the design, installation, commission and maintenance of Fire, Emergency and Security Systems
  • The ability to instruct on the practical application of the design, installation, commission and maintenance of Fire, Emergency and Security Systems
  • Excellent presentation skills with an ability to deliver high-quality teaching in Fire, Emergency and Security Systems
  • Recent industrial experience in the Fire, Emergency and Security Systems
  • Experience of preparation, delivery and assessment of the Fire, Emergency and Security Systems

Working Conditions:

  • Interaction with students, staff, and industry professionals
  • Use of educational technology and equipment
  • Will need the ability to travel across sites and locations
