Motor Vehicle Technician
Cambridge based
37 hours per week – Permanent Opportunity
Salary: £22,169 – £25,104 pa
The role
You will provide high-quality technician support to learning programmes within the automotive department in addition to undertaking other associated duties. The post holder will also contribute to course design and team meetings, development of practical work for programmes and the expansion of the area generally. The successful applicant to this post will report to the Team Leader in Motor Vehicle for day-to-day duties and for personnel and other non-specific duties. This role could be the starting point to a journey into teaching and assessing for those looking to progress.
You will mainly:
1. Maintain and repair all equipment in all workshops and training areas.
2. Prepare and set up equipment, tools and assessment areas for practical sessions and demonstrations.
3. Assist lecturing staff during practical sessions and demonstrations.
Have you got what it takes?
- Motor Vehicle Level 3 Qualification.
- At least 3 years of relevant trade experience.
- Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
