Early Years Lecturer
Birmingham
Part time hours – 22hrs per week contact time plus 2hrs admin time
Temporary on-going unitially until October with view to extend
£25.90 per hour
Below timetable;
Mondays 0900-1000 Roles and Responsibilities of the EYP, support the needs of the child in preparing for school
Mondays 1100-1300 Support Care Routines for Babies and Young Children
Mondays 1300-1400 Administration
Tuesdays 0900-1100 Preparing for School Readiness
Tuesdays 1100-1200 Preparing for School Readiness
Weds 1300-1400 Administration
Weds 1400-1600 Support Care Routines for Babies and Young Children
Weds 1600-1700 Roles and Responsibilities
Thursdays 1100-1300 Child Development
Fridays 1 hour Tutorial (Group)
Fridays 1100-1300 Safeguard and Promote the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of Children and Young People
You will be working within the colleges Early Years and Childcare department, supporting, teaching, training and assessing Early Years students on their courses of study. You will be responsible for delivering education and training to high standards along with preparing student materials, assessing and marking student work and carrying out student tutorials and assessments to ensure each student is achieving their best during their time in the college.
The person;
We are therefore seeking individuals that are passionate about Children and the Early Years sector and that have relevant experience in both educational and industry fields. The individual will also have experience working with students or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting whilst being upbeat, motivational and knowledgeable in the subject area in order to educate and inspire learners.
Have you got what it takes?
- A level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (Early Years/ Childcare)
- A teaching qualification
- Experience delivering Early Years and Childcare qualifications
